Slovenia: Average gross salary amounted to EUR 1,479 last year

According to preliminary data from the Slovenian Statistical Office (SURS) average monthly gross salary in Slovenia stood at EUR 1,479.

According to preliminary data from the Slovenian Statistical Office (SURS) average monthly gross salary in Slovenia stood at EUR 1,479.

Almost two thirds of all employees (65.6 percent) received lower gross salaries, while one half of all employees were paid salaries lower than EUR 1,289. 34.3 percent of employees received above-average salaries.

Gross salaries received by almost one half of all employees exceeded EUR 1,590. Gross salaries in the private sector exceeded EUR 968.

Percentage of employees with highest gross salaries (more than EUR 3,246) stood at 7 percent in the public sector and amounted to 4 percent in the private sector.
