Unprecedented floods have spread all over Albania, Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH), forcing several thousand people to leave their homes.
Unprecedented floods have spread all over Albania, Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH), forcing several thousand people to leave their homes.
The floods took three lives in BiH.More than 12.000 people were evacuated in northwest Albania, and around 14.000 acres are under water, BBC reported Monday.
Water level in parts of Skadar, Albania is two meters and power supply is disconnected. Several parts of northern Albania are cut due to floods, and the only means of transportation in those areas are helicopters and boats.
Police and army are helping in evacuation from the town of Skadar and its surrounding area, as well with providing food to the endangered residents.
Visegrad and Foca in BiH are flooded due to Drina river torrents, and some official borders towards the Republic of Srpska are closed.
Floods in Montenegro are the worst in last hundred years. Some towns are cut off due to floods. About 1.300 people were
evacuated from the endangered areas.
