Macedonia's strategic goals and the country's efforts for overcoming the name issue with Greece, thus removing the only obstacle for Macedonia's EU and NATO accession are the main topics on the agenda of today's meetings in Washington.
The Macedonian delegation, which also includes Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki, Ambassador Zoran Jolevski and PM Cabinet's chief Martin Protoger, will stress the Government's commitment to settling the outstanding issue with Greece.
During the talks with US officials, PM Gruevski will also refer to ongoing reforms for meeting European and Euro-Atlantic standards and realizing Macedonia's aspiration for EU and NATO accession, which is the Government's strategic goal.
Ahead of the talks with Biden and Clinton, Gruevski met Tuesday with Philip Gordon, Assistant State Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs, as well as Steven Knapp, president of George Washington University. Interlocutors referred to the possibility for students' exchange and providing scholarships, but also exchanged opinions over the forms of continuous development of the higher education, as well as overtaking US experiences that could be applied in Macedonia.

Hope USA will remember that "ethnic macedonians" was built largely out of communist propaganda and notice Gruevski's irredentist propaganda and sudden change into an "ancient Macedonian"
"This Government considers talk of Macedonian "nation", Macedonian "Fatherland", or Macedonia "national consciousness" to be unjustified demagoguery representing no ethnic nor political reality, and sees in its present revival a possible cloak for aggressive intentions against Greece." - U.S State Department Foreign Relations Vol. VIII Washington D.C.
