The city of Banja Luka and its surroundings in Republika Srpska were hit by an earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale on early Monday morning.

The city of Banja Luka and its surroundings in Republika Srpska were hit by an earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale on early Monday morning.

The buildings were shaken, but there were no serious consequences.

The epicenter was 10 kilometers northwestern from Banja Luka 2 kilometers underground, Tajnug was told in the Seismological Survey of Serbia.

In 1969, Banja Luka was struck by a devastating earthquake.

I actually felt it. It woke me up at about 1 am last night. My building was shaking a little bit, and I actually could hear a strong noise. But that was it. It lasted about 5 seconds I would say.
