Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor will officially visit Israel on Wednesday and Thursday and hold talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other top officials about bilateral and other issues.

Kosor will begin her visit by talks with Netanyahu. They are expected to discuss bilateral relations and other important global issues.

The Croatian PM is also expected to to visit Palestinian Self-Government and attend the Croatia-Israel business forum, scheduled to be held in Tel Aviv.

Israel recognised Croatia on 16 January 1992, but the two countries established diplomatic relations only in 1997 after the then Croatian government agreed to publish a statement in which it apologised to the Israeli people and the government for crimes against Jews during World War Two.
