Slovenia is very actively participating in the realization of South Stream gas pipeline project, we hope that this project will successfully develop and give prospects for the region between the Black and Adriatic Seas.

That is what President of Slovenia Danilo Turk said at the opening of the Slovenian-Bulgarian business forum, FOCUS News Agency reporter Denka Katsarska announced. Let think about the consequences of the realization of South Stream project, the possibilities are much greater than before the beginning of this project," Danilo Turk said.

Optimism in the period after the exit of the crisis is very important. There are too much debates whether pull off the crisis will be slow. It seems another period of crisis outlines in the near future. But I remain optimistic regarding our economic partnership. Both Bulgaria and Slovenia are EU member states, both belong to the common market. Within this framework, we must develop cooperation. We must orient ourselves to the field - between three seas, between the Adriatic, Baltic and Black Sea, President Danilo Turk said. This is an area of the EU, which has great potential for development, Danilo Turk added.

Relations between businessmen are pragmatic, there is no need to be as large as that region. But one of the things that are important to the region is the development of energy infrastructure and this will give perspectives.

At today's meeting we have to discuss what projects await us in the future.

This partnership can be developed based on the good feeling of optimism. We managed to overcome the most acute consequences of economic and financial recession and to bring back the exchange of goods back to the level before the crisis, Danilo Turk said.

We need to find models of partnership and cooperation in adoption of EU funds, we must strive towards a more efficient use of these funds. In the sphere of partnership, he mentioned - green technology, electronics industry. We shared our experience in the field of e-government in many countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Danilo Turk said. He proposed a partnership in information technology as well.
