President Gjorge Ivanov held bilateral meetings Thursday with his Serbian counterpart Boris Tadic and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu at the sidelines of the SEE Cooperation Process Summit of Heads of State and Government, which took place in Sveti Stefan, Montenegro.

Ivanov and Tadic expressed satisfaction with the development of Macedonian-Serbian relations and cooperation.

Ivanov briefed Tadic about Macedonia's efforts to eliminate the one and only obstacle to the country's integration with the Euro-Atlantic institutions. Macedonia is against any re-tailoring of the borders in the region, Ivanov said, pointing out that such move could lead to fresh destabilization. The future of all countries of the region is in the great European family, Ivanov said.

The two presidents agreed on the need for Macedonian and Serbian Orthodox Churches to settle their open isuesses by themselves and expressed hope for a positive outcome in the near future.

Ivanov and Davutoglu reaffirmed the need of respecting the geo-cultural reality and peaceful settlement of all open issues in the region.

Ivanov commended the growing interest of Turkish businessmen to invest in Macedonia.

Davutoglu on his part said his country would keep supporting the realization of Macedonia's strategic goals.

Ivanov and Davutoglu shared opinions on developments in the SEE and the pace of region's EU integration processes.
