Officers of the traffic and highway police who have direct contact with foreign nationals are urged to demonstrate maximum tolerance towards these drivers.

They are recommended to reduce controls of transiting vehicles to the minimum and show tolerance for minor traffic offences.

Moreover, police officers are obliged to abide by the ethic code, laws and cordial conduct.

The Ministry of Interior has already started to distribute info-fliers in eight languages at all border crossings, which provide useful information over the country's regulations.

Republic of Macedonia is situated at the crossroad of European Corridors 8 and 10, which are exceptionally frequent in the summer period, when hundreds of thousands of tourists and emigrants transit through the country in reaching their destinations or come back to their homeland.
