Zagreb sees 24 percent more overnight stays in June

In the first 6 months, Zagreb saw a 10% increase in arrivals and a 9% increase in overnights. Numerically stated, it means 284,561 arrivals and 496,338 overnight stays, out of which 211,974 were foreigners with 366,183 overnights, thus, making an increase of 15% in visits and 13% in overnight stays.

Of the overall tourists visiting Zagreb, 57,230 were foreign guests with 93,599 overnight stays, which saw a 24% increase in visits and a 25% increase in overnight stays in respect to June 2010, when the figures registered were 46,134 and 74,672, respectively.

Topping the list of visits were tourists from Germany, followed by those from the USA, Japan, Spain, and Italy.

In the first 6 months, Zagreb saw a 10% increase in arrivals and a 9% increase in overnights. The majority of visitors came from Germany, the USA, Italy, Austria, and BIH. As for overnight stays in the first 6 months, the most were from Germany followed by those from the USA, Italy, UK, and Austria.

The Zagreb Tourist Board is satisfied with the positive results achieved in June, as well as in the first 6 months, and expects that such results will continue throughout the following period.
