The Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism /MDRT/ is interested that Maramures County /north/ should continue development of mountain tourism and ski areas, Minister Elena Udrea said at Baia Mare.

'We have a concern for the development of mountain tourism or the development of ski areas. At Borsa we made an investment last month for the continuation of the ski project there, and the same happened for Izvoarele, Cavnic and Mogoasa resorts.

We are concerned with highlighting the old wooden churches. Personally, I am a tourist passionate of cultural tourism routes.

I like to visit Maramures, and when I come back here I will make more time to visit Barsana Monastery. We have the financing for winter tourism projects, they go at the pace in which the local public authorities manage to develop them, so financing comes according to requests and budget,' Minister Elena Udrea said.
