Some inconveniences with the traffic of heavy-freight TIR trucks could occur on the Danube Bridge over repair works on the road facility. There is no problem with the movement of vehicles.

There is intensive traffic of guest workers through the Kalotina and Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoints. The Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint is working at full capacity. Border Police advices drivers to use Lesovo border checkpoint too, as the traffic there is calm.

Due to the hot weather, traffic of heavy-freight vehicles of more than 20 tons is banned until 9 p.m.
Traffic on E-79 road is normal.

There are preconditions for road accidents on the Burgas-Malko Tarnovo road and on the road to the border checkpoint to the Bulgarian-Turkish border because of collapsed road surface. People travelling to Turkey are advised to use the Lesovo and Malko Tarnovo border crossings.

The one-stop system is operating at the Promachonas border checkpoint.

Information boards about the required vignette stickers are installed in the areas of the border checkpoints of Kalotina and Kapitan Andreevo, as well as along the republican road network, right after entering the territory of Bulgaria.

During the summer season there is intensive traffic to and from West Europe. The information about the vignette stickers is available in three languages – Bulgaria, English and German.
