Former Prime Minister Ivo Sanader is due to be questioned by anti-corruption investigators on Tuesday about allegations that he received 10 million euros in bribes to hand over the management rights of the Croatian oil company INA to Hungary's MOL.
The questioning will be held in Zagreb's Remetinec Prison where Sanader has been held for a month and a half after Austria extradited him to face allegations of corruption and abuse of office. One of his lawyers, Cedo Prodanovic, said that the questioning would start at 1330 hours.
The national anti-corruption office USKOK suspects that apart from Sanader, former Deputy Prime Minister Damir Polancec and MOL CEO Zsolt Hernadi were also involved in irregularities that were to have made it possible for MOL to take over the management rights in INA.
