Public transport will come to a standstill yet again on Monday October 10, as the employees' unions have called a 24 hour strike, protesting the reserve labour measure planned by the government. The unions have announced that they will carry out indefinite strikes in case even one of their colleagues is put in reserve labour status.

The bus workers union have also called for a strike on Thursday October 13, a date which is also considered for strike action by the subway, trolleys and Isap workers’ union.
The strikers will take the streets at noon, rallying from their meeting point at Kotzia sq. to the ministry of finance, where they plan to burn the "special contribution" notices they got from the greek revenue service.
