Mirjana Pukanic, ex-wife of Nacional weekly owner Ivo Pukanic who was killed in 2008, has been found dead in her apartment, Croatian media report.

According to internet news site Indeks.hr, the police are at the scene and have already ruled out murder. The site writes that according to unofficial information, Mirjana Pukanic was found Saturday afternoon in her apartment by a family friend who called the police and an ambulance.

The preliminary investigation ruled out a homicide, since no signs of violent death were found on the body, reports the site. A medical examiner, who was also called to the scene, will determine the cause of death.

Ivo Pukanic was murdered on October 23, 2008. Most of the people involved in the crime were arrested within seven days, and the rest shortly after, and have already been sentenced to lengthy prison sentences. Sreten Jocic is still on trial in Belgrade for Pukanic's murder, the media remind.
