Croatians consider Plitvice lakes, not only to be the best quality Croatian national park, but also the place for the highest quality weekend-getaway in the country, according to quality survey QUDAL (QUality meDAL for Croatia).

According to the results, Croatia's largest national park Plitvice lakes (Lika-Senj county) topped the list, followed by SPA & Sport Resort in Sveti Martin (Medimurje county), Istria's and Zagreb's Sljeme mountain.

In the category of top quality National park, Plitvice lakes again was number one, with Krka National park in second place.

"When looking for quality places to go to for winter weekends, you just need to look at the list and the places that people have recommended. That way you can discover all the beauties the country has to offer. The selection for such a country the size of Croatia really is phenomenal," commented Robert Slavecki, director of survey programme QUDAL to web portal net.hr.
