DRI: Charges against officials have been filed

The State Audit Institution (DRI) disclosed Monday the names of responsible persons in ministries and other state institutions against whom it has filed charges related to the embezzlement of budget funds and economic offences.

The State Audit Institution (DRI) disclosed Monday the names of responsible persons in ministries and other state institutions against whom it has filed charges related to the embezzlement of budget funds and economic offences.

The persons violated regulations in the budget system, mostly the ones referring to the law on public procurement.

Misdemeanor charges have been filed against former minister of health Tomica Milosavljevic, Environment Minister Oliver Dulic and former state secretary and now Minister of Economy Nebojsa Ciric, as well as against President of the Government of AP Vojvodina Bojan Pajtic.

The list also includes Mayors of Belgrade - Dragan Djilas, Nis - Milos Simonovic, Jagodina - Dragan Markovic, Zajecar -Bosko Nicic, Novi Sad - Igor Pavlicic and Kragujevac - Veroljub Stefanovic.

The charges have been leveled after a review of the spending of budget funds for 2010.

DRI has brought a total of 124 charges based on the revision of the report for the year 2010.
