Gruevski: Macedonia has personnel and capacity for EU dialogue and talks

Macedonia is ready to begin EU high level accession dialogue because the country has been conducting preparations for long period of time to start country’s EU entry talks, PM Nikola Gruevski told reporters in Dojran on Sunday.

Macedonia is ready to begin EU high level accession dialogue because the country has been conducting preparations for long period of time to start country’s EU entry talks, PM Nikola Gruevski told reporters in Dojran on Sunday.

- We are fully prepared for this dialogue and also we are prepared to start entry talks with the EU, which was our goal through this form to come to a formal start of the talks. Macedonia has trained staff and state institutions have also trained personnel that would be able to lead quality process. Certainly, ministers and me as Prime Minister will also be included and I hope things will move in right direction, Gruevski said after opening the pedestrian path on the coast of Dojran lake.

He told that 880 persons in all government institutions are involved in preparations for start of entry talks for a long period of time i.e. 4 to 5 years.

- They are preparing, working, also they attended different trainings and they work on 33 Chapters. Additionally every ministry has person in charge for politics chapter. We have large team that attended meetings in Brussels many times so this will not be something new for them, Gruevski said.
