Mostar: Opening of the largest shopping centre in BiH

According to the words of the director of Mapas Mall, Ljiljana Bosnjak, investors expect that over the year, this shopping center will is visited by more than four million people.

On 13th April, in Mostar has opened the biggest shopping and business center in BiH - Mepas Mall. It is a shopping center with a gross floor area of nearly one hundred thousand square meters with numerous shopping, restaurants and entertainment facilities.

According to the words of the director of Mapas Mall, Ljiljana Bosnjak, investors expect that over the year, this shopping center will is visited by more than four million people.

Opening of Mapas Mall includes creation of job posts, which is now about seven hundred, she added.

At the press conference held in Mostar last week, Mayor Ljubo Beslic expressed satisfaction that in these times of crisis in Mostar this worthy project has been realized, adding that Mapas Mall helps Mostar to return to the place of the regional center.

Center owns 90 separate retail units, of which 69 are currently rented, and in addition to the shops of the world's leading brands, Mapas Mall offers visitors entertainment centres such as bowling center with eight tracks.

Perhaps the most expected for the citizens of Mostar is Cinestar multiplex cinema with total 700 seats , set to open in June.

The Mepas Mall also opens the most popular fast food restaurant McDonalds.
In autumn five-star hotel is expected to be open in the centre, too.

Investor of the project worth nearly one hundred million marks was Brodomerkur Ltd. Široki aBrijeg, and construction of the Center began in May 2010.
