Its investor "City Plaza" is also planning to invest 20 million euros in the construction of a high category hotel in the same municipality.

The groundbreaking ceremony for "City Mall Residence" was held Friday. The investment is expected to create 400 jobs.

The shopping mall is planned to also include two 3D movie theaters as well as many famous brands.

The whole facility is expected to be built in 15 to 18 months' time.

Attending the event, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski stated that the 55-million euro investment in "City Mall Residence" and Ramada Hotel would open over 500 jobs.

"We've done everything in our power to help the investor to start constructing in line with their plans," Gruevski stated.

Ajdovan Ademovski, an investor and Turkey's honorary consul to Macedonia, said that "City Mall Residence" was going to be a complete shopping mall as attractive for local residents as for tourists.

Minister of Transport and Communications Mile Janakieski, Skopje mayor Koce Trajanovski and Aerodrom municipal mayor Ivica Koneski were in attendance at the groundbreaking ceremony.
