It is natural for a person, who has been dealing with speculations, manipulations on daily bases, to trick oneself at a certain point and to be enable now to come out of the mess, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski responded Wednesday to journalists' request to comment the claims of opposition leader Branko Crvenkovski related to 2005 proposal of UN mediator Matthew Nimetz for the name row settling.

Now he is inviting me to a TV duel in an attempt to save himself, the PM said.

"Yesterday, the citizens were able to see the data, documents he presented, which show that the particular proposal has serious defects in regard to the language, nationality, being rather problematic and unclear," Gruevski said.

Gruevski said he was still wondering why Crvenkovski accepted such a proposal, already being rejected by Greece.

It is not good that Crvenkovski has been using this matter for gaining political points on daily basis, because the name, identity, nationality issues are of strategic significance for the Republic of Macedonia, the PM said.

"If he is a responsible political he should not publicly present top secret state documents and reveal details, as by doing so he in a way additionally undermines Macedonia's position. Such matters should be a subject of discussion of politicians to seek best solutions for the state and its citizens, not to exchange accusations via media and score political points on daily basis," Gruevski said.
