The two brothers, aged 30 and 32, were asleep in their apartment when they heard the alarm of their car go off.
They jumped out onto the balcony and saw two or three people trying to steal their vehicle.
One of the owners took a knife with him and went down with his brother to stop the perpetrators who opened fire on them, killing one and seriously wounding the other.
The perpetrators then fled the scene.
