Kosovo promotes investments of Bavarian companies

Over 100 representatives of Bavarian companies have attended today in Munich a conference about economic cooperation and investments in Kosovo.

Over 100 representatives of Bavarian companies have attended today in Munich a conference about economic cooperation and investments in Kosovo.

The event was jointly organized by the Vienna Office of Investment Promotion Agency of Kosovo- IPAK (a program implemented by ECIKS), the Munich Chamber of Industry and Trade - IHK and the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Germany.

Representatives of Kosovar Institutions, including the Minister of Trade and Industry – Lutfi Zharku, the Kosovar Ambasador – Vilson Mirdita, the Head of IPAK Office in Vienna – Kujtim Dobruna and the President of Kosovo Chamber of Commerce – Besim Beqaj have addressed the event. Representatives of IHK-Munich, GTZ, USAID and existing German investors in Kosovo have also addressed the conference.

The speakers invited Bavarian companies to use the opportunities and invest in Kosovo. Minister Zharku, on behalf of the Kosovar Government, promised the highest possible support for foreign investments while Kujtim Dobruna presented the free-of-charge services offered by IPAK-Vienna to all potential investors from the German-speaking region.

Kosovar officials have also held many one-to-one meetings with representatives of Bavarian companies, discussing concrete investment opportunities and projects.
