Djelic: EIB to grant EUR 200 mln loan for science development

Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic announced that an arrangement on a EUR 200 million loan for science and technology infrastructure in Serbia will be signed with the EIB at the Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences on March 4.

Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic announced that an arrangement on a EUR 200 million loan for science and technology infrastructure in Serbia will be signed with the EIB at the Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences on March 4.

At a session of the Serbian parliament's Committee on Science and Technological Development, Djelic said
that this is the largest investment in science in Serbia's history and added that another EUR 70 million will be allotted for nominating science projects.

"One part of the funds will be used for science infrastructure, especially for the Petnica Science Center, which has a huge influence on the development of science," Djelic stressed.
