Under the supervision of the SPRK, EULEX Police have been carrying out searches in the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunication as well as in private residences of persons connected with this Ministry. This is part of an ongoing investigation lead by the Special Prosecutor’s Office in Kosovo (SPRK).

The investigation and the searches are in connection with several tenders related to the construction of roads in Kosovo in the period 2007-2009.

The searches were duly authorized by the pre-trial Judge in the District Court of Pristina.

EULEX special prosecutors were present at the scene in order to ensure the effective gathering of evidential material and provide a full and proper explanation to persons present at the scene.

At this stage it must be stressed that these searches are purely investigative in substance and the material which is being gathered will be carefully analyzed by both police and SPRK.”
