Longtime diplomat Zoran Veljic has been appointed Ambassador to Canada, according to the latest edition of the Serbian Official Gazette.

Longtime diplomat Zoran Veljic has been appointed Ambassador to Canada, according to the latest edition of the Serbian Official Gazette.

Veljic was the ambassador of Serbia-Montenegro and then Serbia in the Republic of Korea.

Prior to that, he worked as a foreign policy adviser to the Serbia-Montenegro president. Veljic's predecessor was Dusan Batakovic, who was appointed ambassador to France in Jan 2009.
