Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic has travelled today on a four-day visit to the People’s Republic of China during which he will meet with the country’s top officials and businessmen.
Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic has travelled today on a four-day visit to the People’s Republic of China during which he will meet with the country’s top officials and businessmen.
Cvetkovic will meet with Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Wu Bangguo to discuss promotion of overall relations and the deepening of strategic friendship between Serbia and China.
During his visit to Beijing, the Serbian Prime Minister will present possibilities for investing in Serbia to
representatives of Chinese companies in the fields of telecommunications, infrastructure and energy.
During his stay in Shanghai, on 27 June, Cvetkovic will visit the World EXPO 2010, where he will attend a ceremony held for the occasion of the National Day of Serbia’s Pavilion.
After visiting China, the Serbian delegation will make a two-day official trip to South Korea.
In Seoul, the Serbian Prime Minister will meet with his South Korean counterpart Chung Un-chan and Parliament Speaker Park Hee-tae.
Cvetkovic will meet with leading South Korean businessmen and will hold a separate meeting with representatives of Samsung Electronics.
The official Serbian delegation on the visit to China will also include Minister of Trade and Services Slobodan
Milosavljevic, and the delegation on the visit to South Korea will include Minister of Telecommunications and
Information Society Jasna Matic.
