Advertising market earned 20% less in 2009

Serbia's advertising market was worth EUR161 million last year, which is about 20% less than in 2008, a record year for publicity marketing when a total of EUR206 million was invested in various forms of advertising, the company Nielsen Media Research has announced, reports Tanjug news agency.

In 2009, companies spent the most money for advertising on television - about 4% more than in 2008.

Internet advertising recorded a growth from 0.97% in 2008 to 1.6% in 2009, while printed media and OOH (out-of-home advertising), a category that includes billboards, advertisements on the streets, in transportation vehicles, waiting rooms and the similar suffered from the impact of the recession (a decrease from 14,6% to 12.7%)
