A delegation of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo headed by Deputy Prime Minister Ramë Manaj will pay a visit to the European Parliament in Strasburg form 6 to 10 September.
A delegation of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo headed by Deputy Prime Minister Ramë Manaj will pay a visit to the European Parliament in Strasburg form 6 to 10 September.
During the visit, Deputy Prime Minister Manaj will have important meetings in which he will ask for advancing of cooperation with the Parliament and other European institutions for the promotion of Kosovo’s statehood and its further consolidation.
Deputy Prime Minister Manaj will be hosted during this visit by the head of the European Parliament Mr. Jerzy Buzek. Mr. Manaj will also have meetings with the Kosovo rapporteur at the European Parliament, Mrs. Ulrike Lunacek, the head of the biggest parliamentary group, the European People’s Party, Mr. Joseph Daul and other Parliament representatives.
During his stay in Strasburg, Mr. Manaj will make clear the position of the state of Kosovo on the integration processes and will discuss the possibility to further advance the cooperation with the EU institutions, the Parliament, the Council of Ministers and the European Commission and the visa liberalization issue. The European Commission’s progress report will also be a topic of discussion.
The visit by Deputy Prime Minister Manaj is taking place on the eve of discussions at the United Nations General Assembly and while the drafting of the Progress Report by the European Commission is approaching, and at a time when the Government of Kosovo is implementing technical and political requirements to receive the visa liberalization guide on Kosovo in autumn this year.
