Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic extended greetings over the holiest Muslim holiday Ramadan Bayram on behalf of the government and himself.

“I wish that this holiday, which you celebrate after a holy month of lent, prayer and good wishes, brings peace, happiness and unity to everyone and help you to revive the traditional, spiritual and moral system of values and principles of the ancient Islamic religion.

This holiday teaches us to cherish the spirit of coexistence, understanding and respect among people, of tolerance and inter-religious harmony in a democratic Serbia.

May the days of Ramadan Bayram bring joy and progress to your homes and give you the strength to improve the fundamental values of our society together with your neighbours”, the letter reads.
