Belgrade-based IMK Construction, which has been hired to work on the high-speed rail project on Sirt-Bengazi route in Libya, has acquired three mobile concrete batching plants Elkon Mobile Master 60 TW – Panthera, of which capacity is 55 cubic meters per hour.
The procurement has been completed through Belgrade-based Quick, Elkon's general agent and distributor for Serbia, Montenegro and the Republic of Srpska.
Construction of high-speed Sirt-Bengazi rail is currently one of the largest projects of the kind in the world. It includes the construction of twin track of high-speed rails, a total length of which is 550 km, 6 main stations, 24 smaller train stations, 23 viaducts, and it represents a part of the future north African railway corridor.
For the reason of large distance and the need for as short ways for transport of concrete as possible, the mobile concrete batching plants of Turkish Elkon have been chosen for the project
Elkon's concrete batching plants from Mobile Master series represent a state-of-the-art solution since they are mobile and fully automated concrete batching plants that meet the strictest global and European standards. Their advantage lies in a simple transport and quick assembling without concrete foundations, which contributes to significant savings.
In favor of that is also the fact that it takes only 1 to 2 days to put the plant from the transport position to the working position, while its transport only requires a single truck. Besides, the mobile concrete factories are treated as building machines, which significantly simplifies the procedure of their installation on the building sites. Thanks to all that, it is possible to produce concrete of the desired quality and required quantity with minimum costs of transport.
Owing to its original solutions and high level of quality, Elkon, which is 100% export-oriented company, has so far exported over 1,000 its concrete batching plants to 62 countries on all five continents. Over the last two years, Quick has delivered 10 mobile and stable concrete batching plants to domestic companies.
