Serbian PM Mirko Cvetkovic ended his two-day official visit to Egypt with participation in a round table organized by the top Egyptian publishing house, Al Ahram. The topic of the panel was cooperation between Serbia and Egypt and the reform process in Serbia on its EU course.

In Cairo, he met with President Hosni Mubarak, PM Ahmed Nazif and Speaker Ahmed Fahti Surur and thanked them for the principled stand of their country not to recognize independence of Kosovo.

It was agreed that bilateral cooperation was excellent and that there were no open-ended political issues, which is a good basis for the expansion of economic cooperation.

Three intergovernmental agreements have been signed – on cooperation in the field of science and technology, on cooperation in the telecommunication sphere and on cooperation in culture and art, from 2010 to 2013.

Cvetkovic also opened a Serbian-Egyptian business forum and called on Egyptian business people to invest in Serbia.
