Former Chief Hague Prosecutor Carla del Ponte has greeted the report of the Council of Europe, which points to Kosmet Prime Minister Hashim Taqi as the head of the criminal network for the trafficking of human organs.

Former Chief Hague Prosecutor Carla del Ponte has greeted the report of the Council of Europe, which points to Kosmet Prime Minister Hashim Taqi as the head of the criminal network for the trafficking of human organs.

In an interview for the Swissinfo portal, Del Ponte has called upon the international community to help EULEX in running a detailed investigation, while expressing hope that the perpetrators of those monstrous crimes will soon be brought to justice.

Del Ponte is currently the Swiss Ambassador to Argentina, but in 2008 she published a book with presented evidence of trading with organs of the kidnapped and murdered Serb civilians after the conflict in Kosmet in 1999.
