The State Audit Institution will file 12 criminal reports against 14 persons in ministries who violated regulations governing the use of the 2009 budget.
As BETA learned from the State Audit Institution, charges will be filed against four incumbent ministers, two ministerial aids, two state secretaries and two ministerial secretaries.
The charges include a large number of violations.
The State Audit Institution's report covering the 2009 budget was presented in mid-December 2009, and the delay in filing the charges was down to gathering complete evidence of the violations.
According to the State Audit Institution Law, that body has the authority to file misdemeanor and criminal charges for confirmed irregularities in the use of budget funds, inform the Serbian Parliament and call for the dismissal of violators.
