Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) has announced that it will organize Serbia's third participation in the leading food fair of the Asian and Pacific region, the International Food and Beverage Ehxibition FOODEX 2011, to be held in Tokyo from March 1-4.

Six Serbian exporters of fresh, frozen and dried fruits, fruit juices and mushrooms will exhibit their products at the fair.

Agropartner, Frigo Grand, Igda, Moravac, Prima-Borovnica and Sirogojno companies will present their products not only on Serbia's booth, but also at the mini-conference scheduled for the first day of the fair.

Japan's biggest retail chain AEON Group selected Serbia as one of the few countries with which to negotiate on future business deals.

Serbia is a leading exporter of frozen raspberries to Japan, and it covers one quarter of the country's market, which is more than much bigger countries like the US or France can manage, the statement reads.
