Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic has stated after the talks with his French counterpart Alain Juppé that France supports membership of Serbia and other west Balkan countries in the EU.

We will cooperate closely with France on our path to realizing the strategic priority, which is the European future, said Jeremic.

He has announced the visit of Serbian President Boris Tadic to France in a few weeks. Jeremic has added that Tadic will have talks with French President Nicolas Sarkozy and sign an agreement on the strategic partnership of the two countries.

That agreement entails the strong support of France to the process of European integrations of Serbia, but also provides the framework for cooperation in various areas.

The Head of the Serbian Diplomacy has confirmed that he also discussed the issue of Kosmet with the French Foreign Minister, concluding that the Belgrade-Pristina dialog should commence as soon as possible.

In regards to the investigation in the claims of human organs trafficking in Kosmet, we have agreed that it is necessary and a right way should be found to realize the investigation, without anybody disputing its credibility, emphasized Jeremic.
