Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Head of the Serbian negotiating team for talks with provisional self-government institutions in Pristina Borislav Stefanovic said today that the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina will be resumed at the end of March.
Appearing in Kaziprst show on RTV B92, Stefanovic announced the continuation of work on problems that have not been resolved, recalling that the issues of cadastres, registry books, air traffic, telecommunications, CEFTA presidency and customs seals have been opened.
He underlined that Serbia will not give up on its sovereignty and will not recognise the province’s unilaterally declared independence, adding that the authorities are now focused on solving concrete problems.
On some matters we managed to get closer in our opinions, as in the case of CEFTA presidency, and on some we have not managed to agree, such as the case of customs seals, Stefanovic said.
The negotiating parties reached a common point regarding the need for exchange of data in the field of cadastre and registry books in order to make it easier for citizens to get these documents.
Stefanovic said that no one will cede Serbia’s original registry books because that would mean giving up on its sovereignty, noting that only exchange of copies or providing insight into data will be possible.
