The Share Conference which will host internationally acclaimed internet and social activism experts, new media artists and renowned musicians will take place in Belgrade from April 7 to 9, the organizers announced Wednesday.

The festival has two main program units: the innovative SHARE by Day education platform, with workshops and lectures, and SHARE by Night parties at ten locations in the city with electronic music stars.

Director of the day program Vladan Joler said that the main idea behind the conference was to bring together new media and internet activism experts, as well as creative young people who are socially active online.

"Using new media in social activism is still underdeveloped in Serbia, and I hope this conference brings an explosion of creativity and social involvement," Joler added at the news conference.

The performers include Carl Graig, Tricky, Josh Wink, Gramophonedzie, Marko Nastic, some of whom will participate in the day program of the conference as well.

The Share Conference is organized by the State of Exit Foundation, with support of Carlsberg.
