Representatives of the Serbian Defense Ministry and the Italian Armed Forces signed Thursday in Belgrade a bilateral military cooperation plan for 2011.
Representatives of the Serbian Defense Ministry and the Italian Armed Forces signed Thursday in Belgrade a bilateral military cooperation plan for 2011.
Serbia and Italy have developed good military cooperation, whose level of realization is among the highest in the region and which focuses on education, exchange of peacekeeping experiences and specialist training, it was said at the signing.
"Italy has expressed readiness to support the Serbian Defense Ministry and army in implementing the EU joint defense and security policy, by hiring experts with a better understanding of the required procedures," the Defense Ministry published on its website.
The plan was signed during bilateral defense consultations headed by chief of the Defense Ministry Department for International Military Cooperation Milorad Peric and deputy assistant for military policy and planning with the Italian Defense General Staff Rear Admiral Paolo Sandalli.
