Commenting the opinion poll that showed that at the moment the SRS is supported by seven percent of the citizens, Todorovic said that rating is not important to the party but rather the fact that former members are coming back.

The West and the regional countries would like to see Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Tomislav Nikolic in power, since they are certain that he would be much more ready to cooperate and that he would be willing to do all that Serbian President Boris Tadic may not accept, Serbian Radical Party (SRS) Deputy President Dragan Todorovic stated in an interview for the Belgrade-based daily Danas.

He said that there is no major difference between Tadic and Nikolic since they are both here to meet the demands of Brussels and Washington.

He denied speculations that the SRS and the Democratic Party (DS) have agreed about possible cooperation in the parliament.

“The goal of the SRS is not to come to power and such speculations are completely groundless,” Todorovic said.

Commenting the opinion poll that showed that at the moment the SRS is supported by seven percent of the citizens, Todorovic said that rating is not important to the party but rather the fact that former members are coming back.

Todorovic expects that the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia will free SRS leader Vojislav Seselj on May 4 since, as he put it, all necessary conditions for such a decision have been created.

The SRS deputy president is certain that the SRS leader will be able to restore the reputation that the party once had.
