Ciric, Degert to present EU projects for balanced regional development

Minister of Economy and Regional Development Nebojsa Ciric and Head of the EU Delegation in Serbia Vincent Degert will present 29 out of 32 projects from the programme of regional development financed by the EU in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy. The event will take place on 15 April in Aleksandrovacka Zupa.

Minister of Economy and Regional Development Nebojsa Ciric and Head of the EU Delegation in Serbia Vincent Degert will present 29 out of 32 projects from the programme of regional development financed by the EU in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy. The event will take place on 15 April in Aleksandrovacka Zupa.

The objective of the "Regional Socio-Economic Development Programme”, which includes the above-mentioned projects funded by the EU with €24 million is to support regional development in Serbia and implementation of regional policy in line with European standards and examples of best practices.

These projects will create new jobs at the local and regional level in less developed areas, which will prevent in large degree the departure of skilled labour to Belgrade and outside Serbia.

Aleksandrovac municipality is the holder of the projects called "The value chain of high quality Serbian wine –Vitesko Vino (knight's wine)”, worth €510,000.

This project will contribute to improving the chain of production, quality and marketing of the Serbian wine, as well as opportunities for educatStefanovic: Friday talks may cover freedom of movement issue
