Serbia will invest RSD 450 million in the infrastructure, houses and apartments in Kosovo-Metohija this year, Minister for Kosovo and Metohija Goran Bogdanovic said Tuesday.

The building of 38 flats in Strpce, Kosovska Kamenica, Priluzje and Zvecan is currently underway. This year we intend to build 48 apartments and 45 houses for internally displaced persons, returnees and social cases," Bogdanovic told the Belgrade-based daily Politika.

A total of EUR 2.5 million has been allocated from the IPA funds for equipment for flats and houses, and the construction of roads and streets in urban areas will be continued as well.

The minister recalled that 120 apartments and 35 houses had been built the year before and that in the current year most of the money would be invested south of the Ibar River.
