Minister of Economy and Regional Development Nebojsa Ciric has been on a working visit to Germany today during which he presented Serbia’s industry of textile and garments at a conference in the Chamber of Industry and Trade of Frankfurt am Main.

The conference gathered 40 Serbian and 20 German textile companies which are interested in investing in Serbia and establishing business cooperation with Serbian companies.

This is the first time in 20 years that we have managed to organise the presentation of Serbian textile companies on the German market, Ciric said after the conference and added that concrete agreements between Serbian and German companies can be expected soon.

The German companies which employ between 50 and 500 people were presented incentive programmes and opportunities that exist in Serbia, as well as positive results of cooperation with German textile company Falke.

The conference in Frankfurt was organised in cooperation with the German Chamber of Industry and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
