Owing to funds raised from the “Big Heart” MasterCard affinity card, the reconstructed playground of the “Veverica” Kindergarten in Pančevo, part of the Dečija radost Pre-School Institution, has been opened.

The reconstructed playground of the “Veverica" Kindergarten is the fourth within the “Big Heart” project, jointly implemented by Eurobank EFG and the “Ana and Vlade Divac“ Foundation, and, as the previous ones, it includes playing equipment for children with disabilities.

“When we first launched the “Big Heart” project, our guiding notion was to provide children who develop their physical skills with an opportunity to acquire bases for future sports activities, start to like spending time outdoors and spend as much time as possible in fresh air, said Vlade Divac at the opening of the reconstructed playground, while on behalf of Eurobank EFG guests have been welcomed by Nataša Strugarević, a member of the Executive Board of Eurobank EFG.

“Our wish is to invest in the community where we operate through CSR projects and to provide support where it is most needed. We are very proud of the “Big Heart” project, since we have an opportunity to provide children with growing up in a nicer and healthier environment,” said Nataša Strugarević, a member of the Executive Board of Eurobank EFG.

Eurobank EFG and the “Ana and Vlade Divac“ Foundation launched the “Big Heart” affinity credit card in February 2010, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. By using this unique MasterCard credit card, the Bank’s clients have an opportunity to support the reconstruction of children’s playgrounds in state kindergartens across Serbia with no additional costs.

So far, three playgrounds have been reconstructed from the use of this card – new space for playing has been provided for children from the Sunčica Kindergarten in Belgrade, Palčica in Niš, and in March this year the reconstructed playground of the Leptirić Kindergarten in Nova Pazova was opened as well.

Upon each transaction made with the “Big Heart” credit card (including purchasing and cash withdrawals), Eurobank allocates 1% of the transaction value and 50% of costs for monthly account maintenance to the “Ana and Vlade Divac“ Foundation, and all the collected funds will be used for the reconstruction of children’s playgrounds in state kindergartens in Serbia.

Eurobank EFG’s clients who opt for the “Big Heart” MasterCard card will bear no additional costs and can use it as any other standard credit card, including the option of payment in 3, 6, 9 or 12 equal monthly installments.

The more clients use the “Big Heart” MasterCard card, the higher support for a better childhood of the children in Serbia will be provided.
