Head of Pristina' negotiating team in the dialogue with Belgrade Edita Tahiri stated that a package of agreements on the issues, which have been tabled in the talks in Brussels so far, is expected to be reached with the Serbian authorities very soon.

Tahiri conferred Friday with EU High Representative Catherine Ashton and qualified her visit to Pristina as very important for the strengthening of relations between Kosovo and the EU.

She said that Ashton gave her a promise that Kosovo's EU path is certain, whereas Tahiri promised that the Kosovo government will do all in its might to complete the necessary reforms in keeping with the Copenhagen criteria.

Ashton and Tahiri also discussed Belgrade and Pristina dialogue qualifying it as positive, while the Pristina team pledged to stay committed to the resolution of practical issues which are in the interest of the citizens.

Without specifying the date of the agreement with Belgrade, Tahiri said that this will be soon. Ashton arrived from Belgrade to Pristina where she met with Prime Minister Hasim Taci and EULEX Head Xavier de Marnhac.

After her address to reporters at the EULEX headquarters, she left for Prizren, which will be the final stop on her visit to Kosovo.
