International Criminal tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) indictee Ratko Mladic called on the members of the public Saturday to refrain from sparking off any riots over his arrest and to prevent a possible bloodshed from happening on the streets, Mladic's lawyer Milos Saljic told reporters in front of the building of the Special Court in Belgrade.
“His health has not changed, he is still confused and, besides wanting to be examined by other doctors, he also demands to be examined by Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic (Serbian parliament Speaker, who is a neuro-psychiatrist by profession),” Saljic said after paying a two-hour visit to Mladic in the Special Court's detention unit.
Saljic announced he would most probably send the appeal against the decision on extradition by mail on Monday.
