In a brief statement to BETA after the meeting, Stefanovic said he was going back to Kosovo and Metohija and that the talks with Cooper would continue shortly, but he did not give the exact time.

A meeting between Belgrade's representatives Borislav Stefanovic and Minister for Kosovo and Metohija Goran Bogdanovic with the EU mediator in the Belgrade-Pristina dialog, Robert Cooper, ended in Raska in the evening on Aug. 1, but none of the participants wished to give a statement.

In a brief statement to BETA after the meeting, Stefanovic said he was going back to Kosovo and Metohija and that the talks with Cooper would continue shortly, but he did not give the exact time.

Right after the talks, Cooper headed to Pristina.

Before meeting Cooper, Stefanovic and Bogdanovic had held talks with representatives of the Serbs in northern Kosovo to harmonize the position they would later present to Cooper. The meeting in Zvecan was also attended by Kosovska Mitrovica district chief Radenko Nedeljkovic and Zvecan municipality head Slavisa Ristic.

On Aug. 1, KFOR Commander Erhard Buhler said he would not talk with Belgrade representatives because they had illegally crossed over into Kosovo.

Cooper to bring message that dialogue is the only way to solution

Spokesperson for the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Maja Kocijancic has told Tanjug that Official of the Council of the EU Robert Cooper, who acts as the mediator in the talks between Belgrade and Pristina, will visit Belgrade and Pristina early next week to bring a message that the dialogue is the only solution for the current situation in Kosovo. Mr. Cooper's message is clear - dialogue is the only way to solution, Kocijancic said on Saturday.
