Governor of the National Bank of Serbia Governor Dejan Soskic assessed as important to agree upon the new arrangement with the IMF since, as he said, it will mitigate effects of the new surge of the global crisis on Serbia.

In his interview for the Belgrade magazine Business Review, Soskic emphasized that right now, the new arrangement with the IMF is credible confirmation of Serbia’s ability to run public funds realistically.

The new arrangement does not mean new debts of the country and it may significantly influence the country’s risk management in international market which automatically reflects on greater stability of the local foreign currency market, financial system, influx of investments and movement of economic activity and employment, said governor Soskic.
