Belgrade to host first regional New Media Summit today

The first regional New Media Summit on new media will be held in Belgrade on Wednesday, with the participation of leading experts in digital media, and representatives of Serbian, regional and EU institutions.

The first regional New Media Summit on new media will be held in Belgrade on Wednesday, with the participation of leading experts in digital media, and representatives of Serbian, regional and EU institutions.

The summit will be dedicated to the local, regional and Pan-European exchange of knowledge and experience in the Digital Agenda sphere, with a focus on marketing and the media, the organizers announced.

The goal of the project is to promote the use of latest IT and communications technology with a view to advancing and modernizing the media and marketing industry in the region and Serbia.

Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Vincent Degert will open the summit, which is organized by ABC Serbia and Business Dialogue, with the support of the Digital Agenda Directorate.

Featured speakers include State Secretary for the Digital Agenda Jasna Matic, editor of the BBC News website Steve Herrmann, and President at Council of European Professional Informatics Societies Vasile Baltac.
