Freedom of expression, organized crime and corruption are the main concerns of the European Union over the situation in Kosovo, reads the European Commission draft-report on Kosovo, which is to be adopted in October.

Freedom of expression, organized crime and corruption are the main concerns of the European Union over the situation in Kosovo, reads the European Commission draft-report on Kosovo, which is to be adopted in October.

Pristina daily "Koha Ditore" says in Friday's edition that Kosovo citizens eagerly await EC's position over the visa-free regime.

"One gets the impression that the Commission could finally open the path to dialogue over the visa regime liberalization", reads the newspaper, saying it had insight into the EC document.

The report clearly notes that progress has been made in certain areas, but points of concern are the rule of law, organized crime, corruption, public tenders, and most importantly, freedom of expression.
