The citizens of northern Kosovo-Metohija stand watch every day on a total of 18 barricades on roads towards the Jarinje and Brnjak administrative crossings, as well as main roads.

Regardless of the barricades and the tense situation since July 25, the people in Kosovo live as normal lives as they can.

A student school year began at the University of Pristina, which has been transferred to Kosovska Mitrovica.

A large number of enrolled students from central Serbia managed to arrive on time for classes, regardless of the barricades.

On Monday evening, Dobrica Putnik, 23, who was injured in the Zrze village in the incident in Orahovac municipality when his father was murdered, was transferred to the health care center in northern Kosovska Mitrovica.

According to surgeon Gojko Igrutinovic, his condition is stable.

„The patient was transferred in an ambulance car. He had suffered several penetrating and perforating wounds in the chest, abdomen and upper arm,“ Igrutinovic stated after the surgery.

Igrutinovic announced that further tests will be carried out in the days to come, as the patient has some bullets in his body that require a more complex surgical procedure.

Kosovo Serb Aleksandar Putnik, born in Djakovica, with a permanent residence in Orahovac, was murdered on Saturday night, and his son Dobrica Putnik was wounded.

They were shot at by an unidentified person, and the incident ocurred in front of a restaurant they had previously visited, the police had released.
